Gregory is the managing partner of Henriquez Partners Architects and is the design architect leading TELUS Garden, having recently completed the socially inclusive Woodward’s Redevelopment, the largest mixed-use project in the history of Vancouver.

He has won many design awards including BC Lieutenant Governor’s Medals in Architecture for Coal Harbour Community Centre and Bruce Eriksen Place. Gregory was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and as a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada in 2007. Academically, Gregory was awarded an Honorary Degree in History & Theory of Architecture from McGill University, and in 2008 was honoured as a Carleton University Great Grad during the conference celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the School of Architecture.

Gregory Henriquez is attempting to establish a common ground between aesthetics and ethics by forging a synthesis of theoretical explorations and community activism within the present realities of architectural practice. His work is founded upon the belief that meaningful architecture must be a poetic expression of social justice and community.
